Hi everyone, it’s time for my bi-annual blog post. Actually, my last blog post about Glastonbury was in July, so technically this is super early… I know I say this at the beginning of every blog post, but I really do want to get back into the blogging world, creating content and sharing it with anyone who wants to read.

Back in March, my online pal Bex Robb tagged me in a post on Instagram to answer a few get-to-know questions, so I thought it was finally time to do it! You can read her post here! Before I get started, I just want to shout about how much I love this skirt and that I want it in every colour!

Who am I?

I’m a 24 year old (eeek, I’m getting old) vegetarian and aspiring vegan. I studied Industrial Design at Bournemouth University and I miss it soo much. I live in London, and work as a marketing and design assistant close to where I work.

Would you like to move abroad?

I love my home comforts, and living close to my friends and family so I don’t see a huge appeal to move somewhere else. A lot of my friends have recently moved to Australia and I’m super jealous of the beaches on their doorsteps and the fact they’re now going into the Spring, while we’re going into Winter. Despite how jealous I am of them, I don’t think I could move that far away, but I would take a long holiday in Aus in a heartbeat! The one place that I visited and instantly thought I could live there, was Brussels and Copenhagen, but I do think I’d need a really good reason to move.

Where do you buy your jeans?

I’m a Topshop jeans girl and I basically live in black Leah jeans. So much so, that they’re starting to get holes in, and not the trendy kind! Although they’re my go-to jeans, I have a massive collection of embroidered ones and mom jeans (for those bloaty days).

How would you describe your style?

I literally have no clue what my style is! I think I wear a bit of everything but I do think comfort is a huge part of it. It took me until late September to stop wearing sandals every day because they’re just too comfy not to wear. I have tonnes of ankle boots that I love but I’m really struggling to get back into wearing them! Give me some dirty black Converse or Stan Smiths any day! I think my aim is to look chic. I think the staples in my wardrobe is a good pair of black jeans, blue mom jeans, a cute silky midi skirt and a selection of turtlenecks!

What gets you down?

I can’t stand being ignored! There’s nothing worse than sending something in a group chat, seeing the double blue ticks and getting no response! I get really down when I have nothing to do at the weekend. I was very lucky to have a super busy summer and not having to think about what I’m doing at the weekend, but as I write this, I have been in my pjs on my old all day (sob sob) and slightly hungover. That’s never a good combination!

Do you prefer dressing for winter or summer?

I definitely prefer dressing for the colder months when you don’t work up a sweat just getting ready! I’m also a little bit obsessed with coats, hats and roll necks which you definitely can’t wear in the Summer! I had my eye on a yellow coat a few months ago, but I resisted the urge to buy it and now it’s totally sold out! Moral of the story? Buy the thing before someone else does!

What do you order at Starbucks?

In the Summer it’s always a soya latte, maybe with some vanilla or caramel thrown in! In the winter I count down until the day they start serving Vanilla Spice lattes, and nothing beats a hot chocolate! I’m also obsessed with mint tea and earl grey!

What is your favourite TV show?

Jane The Virgin has got to be my fave! It’s probably the only thing I can watch without picking up my phone the whole way through. I really enjoyed Love and Girl Boss too. And of course the oldies, Gossip Girl and Ugly Betty! I watch Suits mainly for Harvey, and Prison Break for Lincoln. That reminds me, I really need to watch the new season!

What is your favourite band?

Arctic Monkeys and The Stone Roses are equal number ones to me. I’ve seen Arctic Monkeys about 6 times now and I finally got to see The Stone Roses this year! That’s a lie, I saw them at V festival in 2012 when I didn’t know who they were… I’M SORRY! I’m also totally obsessed with Harry Styles, and before you roll your eyes (like I did) go and listen to his album because it’s amaaaaazing!

What is something no one knows?

I’m super allergic to most animals, mainly cats and dogs. This doesn’t stop me from cuddling every cat and dog I see though, and whenever I’m at my nan’s house, I’m sat next to a bin full of used tissues because I can’t stop cuddling her cat. I also had 3 rabbits. My first fur baby was called Ginger, and the other two were his girlfriends (at different times, he wasn’t a player).

Hi everyone, remember me? It’s be a loooong time.

On my lunch break today I had a look at Lizzie Hadfield’s blog for the first time, even though I’ve been following her on everyting else for a long ‘ol time. I’m a bad person, I know, but it’s hard to choose to look at an actual blog post, even everything is already tagged on Instagram, when you could be watching a Youtube video.. or Love Island.  Her blog has totally changed the game. It’s totally unique and original and it really got me motivated with JMB. I have this space on the internet, which I painfully pay for might I add, that I NEVER use.

So here we go, and easy one to start back off with, a whole load of photos from Glastonbury. I went with a big group this year, and we’re still not fully over it. We got lots of sun (too much on the first day might I add) and a sprinkle of rain, but what’s Glastonbury without it?!

It was definitely my favourite year so far, and I’m counting down the days until 2019.

Please excuse the quality of these photos, they’re all taken on my iPhone as I wasn’t expecting I would actually put them on my — BLOG?!

So it’s been a while. 4 months in fact and the year has even changed. I’ve graduated, got an actual proper grown up job and adopted a rabbit so a lot has happened.

I miss blogging so much, but it’s hard, really hard, well, to be a **fashion** blogger it is anyway. Back in the day when I relaunched JMB (and spent a whole lot of money doing so) i had 3 posts scheduled to go live weeks in advance. What happened? I moved back to uni and went through a break up, meaning I lost my ‘Instagram husband’.

When you don’t live with your mum, you’re single, your friends don’t have the patience for you to get enough photos and find the perfect light, put on weight through comfort eating your way through uni and have no money to buy clothes, blogging is almost impossible. There was the odd post that went up, from an impromptu day out with a friend, or family weekend away but other than that I have failed and I definitely shouldn’t still have the link to my blog on Instagram.

It’s also difficult to blog because whether we like it or not, blogging is dying. You can post your ootd on Instagram, but what’s going to make someone click on the post to see more photos of the same outfit? Unless you do that annoying blogger thing of not tagging where something is from and only putting a link on the post. Or if you have a lot of amazing things to say, and the photos just go alongside that. I certainly don’t have anything interesting to say. Another thing is that there are so many AMAZING bloggers out there, pushing the boundaries that nobody will really care about another girl, wearing a similar outfit who doesn’t have a K in her Instagram follow count.

This is one of these blog posts that don’t really mean anything to anyone, but I just felt that I needed to write it. Maybe to give a pat on the back to all those bloggers who blog no matter what, or to just give myself a kick up the backside and carry on with my so-called hobby.

Hope to see you again soon…

A few weeks back (yep, another very backlogged post) I surprised my grandparents who were holiday-ing in Pagham. They were staying in a bungalow by the beach, where you could literally step out of the back door to this absolute haven of wild flowers by the sea. Wildflowers are my absolute faaaavourite, so I couldn’t resit taking some photos amongst them. 872 4 3 111Top- Miss Selfridge | Skirt- ASOS | Sandals- New Look

This outfit has been a firm summer favourite, especially the skirt. I’ve really enjoyed wearing it with a black turtleneck when it’s been colder (which has been most weeks). It’s the perfect skirt to swish around in, in the most perfect blue. I’m currently dying to find some more midis in different colours, specifically in silver, but I can’t seem to find any that are this perfect.
