My Mac Lipstick Collection

I received my first Mac lipstick for my 18th birthday when I didn’t understand what it was, or how to even apply it. I don’t know what shade it was, or what happened to it but I’ve worked up a little collection since then. I’ve also turned into one of those girls who stand staring at 10 swatches that all look the same, and end up buying two of them because ‘they’re totally different’, but we all know they’re not…

Sin | Retro | Mehr | Velvet Teddy | Fanfare | Vegas Volt | Costa Chic

Sin (matte) | described as a ‘deep dark blue red’, it’s the perfect winter lip. Be careful with dry lips or it’ll look like you’ve been at the red wine all night as it sticks to your dry patches.

Retro (matte) |  described as ‘muted peachy-pinky brown’.  This is one of my favourite shades as it adds a bit more colour without being overpowering. I feel like it could be Velvet Teddy’s older, darker, deeper sister.

Mehr (matte) | described as ‘dirty blue pink, it’s a lovely every day pink.

Velvet Teddy (matte) | everyone knows the drill about it now, it’s described as a ‘deep-tone beige’ which basically means it the perfect nude and lasts forever. I had to re-buy this as I lost my first one, although I’m hoping it will resurface in a bag one day.

Fanfare (cremesheen) | described as a ‘mid-tone yellow pink’, it’s another nice everyday pinky with a slight shine to it, which gives it a more natural look.

Vegas Volt (amplified creme) | the perfect summer orange, it’s described as a ‘full power coral’. It’s also a really nice creamy formula.

Costa Chic (frost) | described as a ‘frosty light coral’, a lighter, shinier, younger sister of Vegas Volt. I also spoke about them both in an older post here.

If you have any recommendations for me let me know as I feel like I’m missing a red..

JMB xx
