The Perfect Spring Morning


It seems that we left Winter overnight and woke up to Spring which I couldn’t be happier about! I picked up this skirt in the Miss Selfridge sale for £10! I’ve never been a fan of leopard print but I’ve recently been on the search for the perfect skirt with the right pattern, as I always associate it with being chavy or something Kat Slater would wear (which nobody should aspire to). Another bonus with this skirt is that it’s a size 6, although I’m certain everyone could size down when it comes to it (private party for a size 6 being in my wardrobe anyway!!)

It was a special day as I ditched my coat for my oversized leather jacket. Today was the first time this year that I have left the house without a woolly hat, scarf and an enormous amount of layers on, and I’m loving not choking on bits of wool from my scarf I must admit. I like how the jacket gives the outfit a grunge feel, which I think is important with this skirt, helping to  look more Alexa Chung (in my dreams) than Kat Slater.

After picking up some pretty flowers (after much deliberation on which ones to choose) we headed to Mr Buckleys on Hackney Road where I had my first ever French toast which was insanely delicious! Alfie had a minute stake with poached egg which was equally as good. If you’re ever in the area I would definitely recommend it!

    I wish I lived in London, so many lovely places to eat and those flowers look beautiful. I love the brown paper wrap. X
