As I’ve said before I’m not too clued up on skincare but I’ve finally found a routine which is quick, easy and ultimately works for me. It doesn’t give me perfect skin and I do break out every now and again but that’s totally normal. I feel like if I did stop using these products my skin would be significantly worse. Here’s just a quick post to show you what I use. Obviously these products wont work for everyone so it’s just about finding what works for you personally.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is the cleansing water to remove make-up which is left on the skin after make-up wipes. It’s the dupe for Bioderma which everyone is raving about right now, but for half the price tag.
I use the Garnier Refreshing Cleansing Lotion to remove my eye make-up. It takes everything off of my eyes effortlessly and is cooling which is refreshing after a long day when you have tired eyes.
Lush Tea Tree Toner Water is probably my favourite skin product. I use this to remove any excess make-up or dirt which is still on my face at this point. I use this both in the morning and in the evening as it’s a perfect way to clean your face before you apply make-up or if you just want to refresh your face.
Clinique Anit-Blemish Clearing Gel was my first high-end skincare product. I first bought the small version online, not knowing what to expect. When it arrived I was shocked by how small it was but I soon realised a little bit goes a long way and it really worked. If I see a spot coming I’ll apply it and it will noticeably reduce by the next day. I’m now on my second batch of it and opted for the bigger one, which then lead me to spending enough for a free gift set and I walked out of the shop feeling very guilty.
I was given the La Roche-Posay Targeted Breakout Corrector by a friend who didn’t get on with it. As I’d seen so many people raving about it I was so happy I could try it out without having to pay the price tag! I apply this onto a spot and by the next day it will have dried up and is on the way out! The difference to this and the Clinique gel is that I use this only on spots whereas the gel on any blemished areas as well as spots. I use them both in the morning pre-makeup and evening post cleansing.
Clinique Moisturising Lotion is one of the items in the gift set I guiltily received. It’s a perfect light, breathable morning moisturiser.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream is my night time moisturiser which is thicker, perfect for hydrating the skin after a long day. The vitamin E also refreshes the skin with a cooling affect.
